SUSTA’s Resources & Network
Whether Seasoned or New, SUSTA Supports your Growth

The 2021 program year is now in full swing. We’ve already had a full month of one-on-one virtual consultations available for companies like yours to get briefed on market dynamics, trends, labeling requirements and more. Consultations will be available throughout the program year, but the sooner you sign up, the sooner you’ll be ready to do business. You’ll even receive a custom assessment of your products' possibilities in such key markets as Mexico, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, China and India.

These consultations are a fantastic resource and available at your convenience. Just login to your MySUSTA account and register on the Events page. The consultations are with our experienced team of in-country consultants and are perfect for new-to-export companies looking to learn more about what to expect, all the way to seasoned global marketers considering where and how to launch a new product.

Want to learn more about what’s available and planned for SUSTA’s Global Events program? Our SUSTA staff in New Orleans is also available to answer your program related questions one-on-one. Sign up for a consultation with a Global Events Coordinator through your MySUSTA account as well.

You can also gain valuable insight from a number of great webinars we have in store. Learn more about digital marketing in Canada, or how e-commerce is growing in Mexico. Hear from the USDA’s Agricultural Trade Officer in Brazil about why prepared foods and distilled spirits from the U.S. are forecast to grow, and how to tap into that market.

USDA is also hosting a webinar on the opportunities for U.S. products in Morocco. Get briefed on the U.S. Morocco Free Trade Agreement and what that means for your products. Hear discussions about how Morocco can be a trade platform to launch into Europe and African markets. Find out how Morocco’s long term sustainability strategy can create market openings for certain U.S. products.

These virtual events are all simple, interactive, no-cost tools to help you build your marketing strategy.Be prepared and have a plan when business travel and exhibitions re-open. Obviously 2021 is starting off different than any other program year we’ve had, but never has there been such opportunity to set your sights on success.

Of course, as the new 2021 program year is underway, it is also time to wrap up the 2020 program year through our surveys. When you sign up to participate in a SUSTA Global Events trade mission, virtual exhibition, trade show, or market your product under the 50% CostShare program, you commit to completing a survey. These surveys give the SUSTA staff feedback to make our programs impactful for your business.

SUSTA’s programs, made possible by U.S. taxpayer dollars, have helped thousands of companies over the years open new markets, build export sales, create jobs and generate additional economic activity in our Southern states. USDA estimates that each dollar of export sales generates an additional $1.27 in economic activity.

It is vitally important to measure the success and impact of these programs, especially over the past year, and quantify how they supported exporters to stay engaged during these challenging times. When you complete your surveys, don’t forget to share the time your small company invested in SUSTA’s programs and markets overseas. It is important to measure the full impact of how these dollars helped leverage your investments, especially during our most challenging times.
