Oklahoma

The OK Department of Agriculture promotes the sale of processed foods and other value-added agricultural products to targeted countries around the world. International markets are purposefully identified based on logistical proximity, consumer demographics, purchasing power, economic growth and political stability. Oklahoma’s agricultural sales average $1.7 billion annually. Wheat, followed by beef, pork, poultry, hides and skins, cotton, peanuts and grains are Oklahoma’s top grossing exports.

A team of Market Development Coordinators provide market research and technical assistance, and have access to the USDA’s worldwide network of trade offices. Oklahoma is a member of the Southern US Trade Association (SUSTA), and utilizes their matching marketing funds to participate in global trade shows, coordinate Inbound and Outbound trade Missions, and stage in-country promotions.
