India is rapidly increasing its demand for U.S. hardwood lumber and veneers. In 2024, U.S. exports of hardwood lumber and veneers to India reached USD 8.87 million, with key growth in red oak, white oak, hickory, walnut, ash, and maple. Demand is driven by shrinking domestic supply of high‐quality hardwoods in India, and growing sectors such as furniture, cabinetry, interiors, and re‐export of value‐added goods. Exporters are invited to participate in a high value inbound mission bringing top wood species buyers from India to the Carolinas and West Virginia. This event offers a unique opportunity to build lasting trade relationships with importers actively seeking high-quality wood species products from the Southern United States.
