Taiwan, with its population of 23 million people, has a thriving democracy, market economy and export market, especially for U.S. firms. Taiwan was the seventh largest market for U.S. food and agricultural products in 2014. Taiwan was also ranked as the U.S.’s 10th largest trading partner in goods, and the 14th-largest U.S. export market overall. On this mission, SUSTA will provide an opportunity for Southern U.S. suppliers to meet one-on-one with key retail and food service buyers from Taiwan.
