Caribbean Inbound Trade Mission to Americas Food and Beverage

Sep 15, 2026
Tuesday
Miami, Florida
Inbound Mission

The Caribbean food and beverage market continues to experience steady growth, fueled by a strong rebound in tourism and resilient consumer demand. In 2024, U.S. agricultural exports of consumer-oriented products to the region totaled $3.49 billion, reflecting an 8 percent increase over 2023. Retail modernization is advancing across the region, bringing expanded product assortments and a growing presence of private label offerings. At the same time, the foodservice sector is thriving, supported by record-breaking tourist arrivals and ongoing hotel development.

U.S. exporters looking to expand into new markets will find strong opportunities in the Caribbean due to its relative economic stability and increasing demand for a wide variety of food and beverage products. The region offers a favorable environment for U.S. suppliers, with advantages such as geographic proximity, strong commercial ties to the United States, a steady influx of tourists, and a trade-friendly regulatory framework. Consumers in the region also demonstrate a high level of brand loyalty to U.S. products.

Key consumer trends include growing interest in healthier, low-sugar, and organic products, particularly among urban and younger consumers. Convenience foods, plant-based alternatives, and international flavors are also gaining traction. At the same time, high price sensitivity is driving growth in private label products and value pack offerings.
