Tennessee Craft Spirits Expands Global Reach Through ProWein Participation

Tennessee Craft Spirits, LLC (‘TCS’), headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, participated in ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany, with support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program (MAP) through the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA). As one of the world’s leading trade fairs for wine and spirits, ProWein provides access to international buyers, distributors, retailers, and other key decision-makers in the global beverage industry. Participating in SUSTA’s ProSpirits pavilion, Owner and CEO David Pick showcased a range of Southern U.S. whiskey products, including Company Distilling’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Maple Wood, Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s Tennessee Whiskey, O.H. Ingram’s River Aged Bourbon, and Southern Collective Spirit Co’s. Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey. During the event, Pick established some 25 buyer connections, including 10 high-quality buyer relationships with strong commercial potential. As a result of participation in the trade show, TCS secured $10,000 in export sales to Czechia and Germany. In the coming 12 months, new connections with buyers in Jamaica, Kenya, Norway, the Philippines and Ukraine are expected to contribute export sales for the brands represented by TCS for a projected value likely to reach an additional $250,000 in future export sales from business relationships developed at the event.

David Pick commented: “This was our third year in succession exhibiting in Düsseldorf, and we are booking more SUSTA events for the coming 6 months, including those in Paris and Tokyo. The Global Events department at SUSTA is a highly efficient and supportive resource. As a direct result of our participation in the Outbound Trade Mission to London in June this year, we have already secured first-ever export sales for seven of our brands into the United Kingdom.”

By generating immediate sales across multiple international markets and creating a pipeline for continued export growth, the MAP-supported trade show strengthened the company’s global market presence, increased demand for U.S. distilled spirits, and advanced its long-term export development strategy. This outcome demonstrates how federal market development investments help U.S. companies build international commercial relationships, expand market access, and enhance the competitiveness of U.S. value-added agricultural exports worldwide.
