The Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) has provided duty free access and created market opportunities for many U.S. products, including beef, fruits and vegetables, and processed foods. In 2024, U.S. agricultural exports to Central America reach $1.86 billion in Guatemala, $820.51 million in El Salvador, $1.36 billion in Honduras, $522.87 million in Nicaragua, and $950.46 million in Costa Rica. Top agricultural exports to the region include beef, pork & pork, poultry, dairy, and food processed products.
