Demand for premium seafood is growing China and Hong Kong. In 2024, China’s total volume of seafood sales increased by 3% to 44 million tons. At $54 million in import value in 2024, China is the 2nd largest importer of seafood from southern United States. Meanwhile, Hong Kong is the 7th largest importer of seafood products from the southern United States, with sales reaching $19 million in 2024.
