Agricultural imports from the U.S. to Vietnam have increased over the years, and today Vietnam is its 8th-largest importer in the world. For U.S. wood species products, Vietnam was the sixth-largest importer in 2024, with the country purchasing $350.1 million of products, an increase of 38% from 2023. This growth is expected to continue as the demand for high-quality raw wood species products increases. Vietnam is a net importer of wood species and mostly a “processing” country for the export sector. As a result, Vietnam’s wood species processing sector is highly dependent on imported materials from many sources.

The combination of Vietnam's growing demand for wood species products, favorable trade relations, and its expanding furniture and construction sectors makes it a strong market for U.S. exports. Join this webinar to learn:

  • Opportunities for U.S. lumber suppliers in Vietnam
  • Drawbacks or obstacles in the market
