SUSTA had a booth at the show, where Chef John Maxwell demonstrated what makes seafood from the southern U.S. such a good catch. In addition, four companies from the SUSTA region participated in the show, resulting in 53 trade leads.
Maritime Products International, one company that attended the show with SUSTA's help, stated that sales leads were waiting for them when they arrived at their offices immediately following their participation in the show.
There is still work to be done to gain better knowledge of Korean consumer preferences; however, SUSTA and the companies that exhibited with us are in a better position to source the types of seafood products Koreans are interested in. SUSTA will continue to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of the Korean market that will enable southern U.S. exporters to develop an effective strategy to access the market.
