In 2017, packaged food continued to look to Asia Pacific and MEA for global growth. Combined, the regions increased their share of packaged food from 33% in 2012 to 36% in 2017. To reflect this reliance, with this edition Euromonitor has extended its country coverage by 20 markets, of which the majority are from the said regions.
