The company is headquartered in Salisbury, MD and was founded by Arthur W. Perdue as a table-egg poultry farm. Frank Perdue joined his father's company in 1939 as the third full-time employee. He developed the company into an industry leader and launched a television and radio advertising campaign, which made the PERDUE® brand a household name, as well as a market-share leader. Jim Perdue, Frank's son, became chairman of the board in 1991 and now also serves as advertising spokesperson.

Perdue International Operations

Our Export Department was formed in 1991 and in 1997 we opened our first overseas office in Hong Kong. Just one year later, in 1998, we began a joint venture project in China. We currently export products to over 70 countries such as Bahrain, the Black Sea Region, Chile, China, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam to name several. Perdue Farms currently ranks among the top 100 international food companies. International Operations exports products across all channels. We export retail, foodservice, institutional and wholesale products to distributors and suppliers around the world. Our largest volume products are leg quarters, sized legs, chicken paws, and value-added products such as chicken franks, fried chicken, and chicken nuggets.

Focusing on generating innovative, value-added products and providing services that exceed customers' expectations is the driving force behind our growth.
