They represent a world of U.S. products and companies
that are now eligible for the Market Access Program Branded,
a cost-sharing, matching funds program.
Companies utilizing the program can double
their international marketing budget.
Three industries that have qualifying products are:

- Bio Industries - Energy-Related Products

Alternative Building Materials/Interior Furnishings
Example Items:
Household - Paints & Wall Finishes, Wallpaper & Coverings, Insulation, Adhesives, Household Cleaners, and Candles
Other - Pet Bedding
Examples of Qualifying Inputs:
Wheat Straw, Bamboo, Linseed, Natural Resins, Cotton, Corn, Rice, Wood Shavings & Powder, Fly Ash, Casein Milk Solids, Adobe, Cobb, and Beeswax and Vegetable Wax
Personal Care - Health & Beauty
Example Items:
Hair Care Products, Toothpaste, Body Oils & Creams, Essential Oils For Aromatherapy, Baby Wash, Perfumes, Face Washes, Astringents, Sun Care, and Facial Scrubs
Examples of Qualifying Inputs:
Natural Oils & Extracts - Vegetable, Citrus, Almond, Macadamia Nut, Mint, Sesame Seed, Sunflower Seed, Sage, Avocado, Olive, Castor, Cedarwood, and Jasmine.
Plants/Herbs - Witch Hazel, St. John's Wort, Bloodroot, Horsetail, Eucalyptus, Yarrow, Carrot Seed, Calendula Flower Seeds, Willowbark, Comfrey, Horsemint, Flower Petals, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Slippery Elm Bark, Parsley, and Rosemary
Grains - Oatmeal, Rice Bran, and Corn Starch
Animal Products - Goat Milk, Cow Milk, and Emu Oil
Berries - Juniper Berries, Blackberries, and Cranberries
Other - Beeswax, Honey, Cocoa Butter, Lanolin, Aloe Vera, Soybean Oil/Wax, Apple Cider Vinegar, Sea Salt, Sugar, Prickly Pear Cactus, Pecan Shell, Grapefruit Seed, and Carrot Seed & Oil
Bio Industries - Energy-Related Products

Examples of Qualifying Inputs:
Wood Products, Agricultural Crop & Forestry Residues, Dried Vegetation & Grasses, Aquatic Plants, Animal Fats & Wastes, Soybean Oil, Rapeseed (Canola) Oil
Eligibility
As with the other items covered under the MAP Branded program, Diversified Agricultural Products must:
- Be at least 50% U.S. agricultural origin by weight (excluding water & packaging)
- Have a brand name
- Be promoted as "Product of the U.S.A.", "Grown in the U.S.A.", "Product of Louisiana", etc.
They must also meet the additional requirement:
- Be non-durable in nature with a typical 3-year replacement cycle
What products are NOT eligible?
- Products of less than 50% U.S. origin
- Products not labeled as "Product of the USA"
- Products covered by another FAS cooperator project, export incentive program, or state export program
- Products not listed by a company in their Branded application
- A branded product lacking Brand Owner's Permission for the target market
- A branded product covered in a particular country by another MAP Branded company
- Products that fall under the domain of the Department of Commerce (i.e. shoes, machinery, textile, etc.)
Activities & Reimbursement
Company eligibility, the application procedure, reimbursable activities,
program dates, and reimbursement procedures are the same as those
for the MAP Branded program covering food and other agricultural products.
