SUSTA, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to Offer Export Seminar
Tallahassee, FL –
Start the new year with a plan to take your agricultural products international. The Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services can show you how.
SUSTA is a non-profit organization that helps small companies in the southern U.S. promote products overseas. To lessen the risks of international marketing, SUSTA offers a range of services to producers, manufacturers and distributors of U.S. food and agricultural-based products.
On Tuesday, January 18, 2011, SUSTA and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will offer a seminar on Using Export Programs at the Broward County Extension Education Office Auditorium in Davie, Florida. Presenters will share information on how a company can receive up to 50% reimbursement on expenses, participate in shows and other trade events to foreign markets at a low cost, meet one-on-one with foreign buyers, and access valuable market research.
In order to participate in SUSTA programs, companies must:
~ Have a product that is at least 50% U.S. agricultural origin
~ Label the product as "Product of the USA" or "Made in the USA"
~ Be "small" according to Small Business Administration guidelines
To attend this valuable export education program in Florida, contact Melissa Hunt of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at (407) 302-1056.
