The southern U.S. is home to such styles as Louisiana Cajun and Creole, Texas Barbecue and Tex-Mex, Florida Caribbean and Latino inspired fare, and unique southern home-style cooking such as fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and cornbread.
SUSTA's Role
The Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) collaborates with and maintains a list of talented chefs to collaborate on international culinary promotions.

Culinary Training Program
Also, several times a year, SUSTA invites select chefs and culinary experts to participate in a two-week training program in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Participants learn about the unique cooking styles of the southern United States. World famous cuisines such as Cajun, Barbecue and Tex-Mex are demonstrated by local culinary instructors.
